Going to keep this simple.........
1. Do not base your trade decision on the trade meter value.
2. Who are you trading with? A dominant or champion team? Do you want to potentially improve an already dominant team/owner? Look for other options first before you propose or accept a trade proposal from a 12 win or more team.
3. Position, not all positions are equal, DB, LB, & WR are more valuable.
4. Players AGE .... how many seasons can you get if you trade for an older player? WRs & RBs take the biggest hit when they reach the 9yr mark.
5. Dont accept first proposal, counter for a better deal. Also shop your player, especially if he is considered a "blue chipper", high rated and high trade meter.
6. Player weights, if you are using the Ai standard player weights, you will be at a disadvantage vs those who have good custom player weights.
7. Trade Block .... most players listed on the trade block are over 7 yrs experience or OL that have much higher trade meter value than they are worth. To find a good player to trade for you also need to look over other teams rosters. Many times you can find a good player that is a non-starter that has a low meter value. Also check player stats, see how they compare to starters ratios (avg/carry, yards per reception, catch allowed %, etc.).
